Postpartum Doula Support

As a Certified Postpartum Doula, I feel honored to walk with my clients through their transition of adding a new baby or babies to their families. A postpartum doula comes into your home in the weeks after you have a new baby or babies, nurturing you as you recover from birth or the flurry of adoption, assisting with infant care and light housework, connecting you with resources to serve your needs, and supporting you and your family emotionally through this major life change. Most people like to hire a postpartum doula before their babies arrive so they know they have help available from day one. I can work out a schedule with you a week at a time that is flexible according to your needs and your budget, usually 3 to 5 hours per visit, 1 to 4 times a week.

$30 per hour for weekdays

$35 per hour for weekends, holidays, and overnights

Breastfeeding/ Chestfeeding Support

I already incorporate breastfeeding/chestfeeding help in the course of working with my postpartum clients, but as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, I also offer in-home counseling and education that is breast/chestfeeding-specific. If you find yourself needing support that is completely focused on breast/chestfeeding, I can help you overcome challenges, get reassurance about how things are going, make a plan to help you achieve your goals, and connect you with other medical professionals if needed.

$40 per visit, generally 1 to 1.5 hours, including phone/email followups

Breastfeeding/ Chestfeeding Education Package

I want every family to feel confident about breast/chestfeeding and to have the tools they need to achieve their goals, so I offer a private breast/chestfeeding class in your home for you and the support person of your choice (generally done between month 6 and month 8 of pregnancy). This two-hour class is tailored to your knowledge and what you want to learn, your experience with infant feeding (if any), and your own breast/chestfeeding goals. The package also includes one breast/chestfeeding visit after your baby/babies are born to make sure you’re off to a great start, as well as support by phone and email. Additional in-person breast/chestfeeding support is available at the above rate of $40 per visit.
